The Marsala is a wine produced in the region surrounding the Italian town of Marsala (Sicily). He received the Protected Designation of Origin in 1969. Although city dwellers sometimes take old Marsala, wine is always produced for export and fortified like Porto. Originally it fortified Marsala to ensure that withstand long sea voyages, but today is due to its popularity in the market exterior.El Marsala wine is often used in cooking, and is especially common in Italian restaurants in the United States.
